Dr Sim, who is Public Health, Housing and Local Government Minister, said many had to stay at home during the pandemic and some of them could have seen this as time wasted or lost.

Dr Sim, who is also the Batu Kawah assemblyman, added that new specialisations are needed, as the majority of them are now only available in Kuching.
He then called for further collaborations from all Sarawakians to make Sarawak a developed state by 2030.
Nonetheless, SUPP still did well at the Sarawak elections of June 1963 but it left one-seat-short of a majority to form government, thus it remained as the opposition party.
