Marine Corps and the armed forces of nine partner nations including Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
The first new submarine will be built by Daewoo in South Korea, with Indonesian personnel present and training.
Ships utilized by South Korea can be armed with 28 mines in place of torpedoes and Sub-Harpoon missiles.
