On Wednesday 20 October 2021 , that Malaysia's reopening of borders to travellers is only limited to citizens, permanent residents of Malaysia, expatriates or diplomatic corps, or any other foreigner authorised by the Director-General of immigration to enter Malaysia from abroad.
However, it is limited to fully vaccinated individuals, teens between 12 and 18 years old who have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and children below 12 accompanied by fully vaccinated parents.
 Mr Masidi announced on Jul 21 that the state had received a total of 747, 980 doses including 152,100 delivered previously and another 308,990 doses were scheduled to arrive the following week.
Mr Khairy said that he expected the number to cross five million in the next couple of weeks as more people get vaccinated and confidence increases in its safety and efficacy.
To recap, Malaysia targets to vaccinate 80 percent of the adult population by February 2022.
Foreign tourists are still not allowed entry into Malaysia.
